A Day of Flavors & Stories in Old Manila
Embark on a delightful journey through Manila’s history and flavors. Begin your morning in Binondo, the world’s oldest Chinatown, where you’ll wander through bustling streets and savor timeless favorites—freshly rolled lumpia, savory pancit, chewy tikoy, flaky hopia, and more. Along the way, uncover the stories of Binondo as a crossroads of Filipino, Chinese, and Spanish traditions, with a stop at Binondo Church, a centuries-old landmark of the Chinese-Filipino community.

Continue into the walled city of Intramuros, starting with Fort Santiago, where stone walls and hidden dungeons echo the trials and triumphs of history—including the final days of Jose Rizal. Stroll through Manila Cathedral, an enduring symbol of faith rebuilt time and again, standing tall as the heart of the nation’s spiritual life.

By midday, relax over a hearty lunch at a heritage restaurant inside Intramuros, savoring Spanish-Filipino favorites like kare-kare, paella, callos, and of course, halo-halo. Then, discover another legacy at the Destileria Limtuaco Museum, the oldest distillery in the Philippines, where 170 years of tradition meet Filipino creativity in a guided tasting of liqueurs—from herbal blends to tropical flavors like calamansi and mango rum.

End the day with pasalubong shopping—hopia, tikoy, or local treats to share with loved ones—before heading home with your heart and senses full. This is not just a tour; it’s a tapestry of flavors, heritage, and stories that make Manila truly unforgettable.
