ITINERARY PROGRAM
7:15 AM | Departure from McDonald’s Eton Centris
Leave the city behind and journey into another side of Bulacan—a day woven with countryside landscapes, centuries-old heritage, stories of a Filipino hero, local flavors, and a meaningful encounter with a community devoted to a greater purpose.
Breakfast Above the Countryside
Our journey begins at Pugpog Bikers Highlands, where breakfast comes with refreshing views of Angat’s countryside. Take in the scenery, enjoy the cool morning atmosphere, and ease into the relaxed rhythm of our HABI journey.
Stories Within the Walls of Angat Church
Continue to the historic Santa Monica Parish Church, better known as Angat Church. Step inside this centuries-old landmark and discover the religious traditions, architecture, and community stories that have endured through generations.
Meet a Bulakeño Hero
Our journey through history takes us to the Mariano Ponce Shrine, dedicated to one of Bulacan’s distinguished sons. Go beyond the familiar name and discover the life, ideas, travels, and contributions of a man who played an important role in the Philippine reform movement.
A Relaxed Bulacan Lunch
Pause for a leisurely lunch at Café Galilea, where good food and conversation give us time to slow down and enjoy the company of fellow travelers before continuing our afternoon discoveries.
A Journey with Purpose
One of the most meaningful experiences of the day awaits at Bahay at Yaman ni San Martin de Porres.
Explore its peaceful surroundings and learn about the community and its mission of caring for and supporting children and young people. More than a sightseeing stop, it is an opportunity to connect with a story of compassion, service, and hope—a reminder that meaningful journeys are also about the people we encounter along the way.
Discover the Art of Minasa
From stories of community, we turn to a delicious Bustos tradition: minasa.
Watch a hands-on demonstration of how this well-loved Bulakeño delicacy is made and discover the tradition behind a treat that has become closely associated with the town. It is a simple experience that brings local culture to life through food.
Bring Home a Taste of Bulacan
Before heading home, enjoy time for Bulacan delicacies and pasalubong shopping. Pick up minasa and other local favorites to share with family and friends—or keep a few treats for yourself.
As our journey comes to an end, we return to Manila carrying stories of heroes and heritage, memories of the countryside, local flavors, and the warmth of the communities we encountered.
