Discover History, Culture, and Local Flavors in Bulacan

Begin your day with a warm welcome at Vertis North, Quezon City, as you board our comfortable air-conditioned coaster at 7:30 AM. Relax on the drive to Bulacan while your friendly tour guide shares fascinating stories about the province’s rich history and culture.
Your first stop is the Barasoain Church and Museo ng Republika 1899, where you can marvel at historic architecture and immerse yourself in the stories of the First Philippine Republic. Spend an hour exploring the museum and church grounds, capturing photos and learning about pivotal moments in Philippine history.
Next, visit the Malolos Cathedral, a stunning symbol of faith and tradition. A short stroll through the nearby Kamestisuhan District reveals charming streets lined with preserved colonial-era homes, offering a glimpse of Bulacan’s rich heritage.
At 11:00 AM, explore the Palacio Real de Sto. Niño, a heritage mansion showcasing the elegance and lifestyle of local nobility. Wander through its halls and learn fascinating stories of its history, culture, and artistry.
By noon, enjoy a delicious lunch at Bistro Maloleno or Las Mujeres, featuring authentic local flavors in a relaxing setting—perfect for recharging before the afternoon activities.
After lunch, unleash your creativity at the Puni Art Workshop, led by cultural and heritage advocate Marichelle Santos Bernardo. Learn the traditional art of puni—weaving using coconut leaves, straws, and even recycled magazines—and create a meaningful handmade keepsake.
Continue the journey with a stop at Mercy’s Empanada de Kaliskis and Citang’s Kakanin.
Finally, visit Guiguinto Garden City, a bustling cooperative of plant stores and nurseries selling very affordable plants. Browse a wide variety of indoor and outdoor plants, discover unique greenery, and experience the vibrant local plant community.
